IX Web Hosting Control Panel Review

IXWebHosting H-Sphere Control panel

When I first signed up with ixwebhost I thought their are offering cpanel but it turned out to be h-sphere. I was a bit surprised but pleasantly surprised. H-Sphere is web hosting control panel simular to cpanel. It has the tools to manage databases, has its own file manager explorer, ftp account manager. Besides standard features that are in almost every control panel out there, h-sphere is multi-lingual scalable control panel that satisfies customer needs. Management of files and databases and other stuff is very easy. Phpmyadmin was there for managing databases, besides the database/user wizard tool. Web options tool if you need to change some additional php settings required by some scripts like drupal or joomla, and other settings for your website like mime types, referrer logs, agent log, ssl support, indexes and many more. The Easyapp tool in h-sphere, (same functionality as Fantastico in Control Panel) allowing one-click install and upgrades of popular PHP scripts: drupal, joomla, wordpress, phpbb, galleries and many more. Other tool worth mentioning here are the domains tools for managing domains, add-on domains, subdomains and other dns(domains) related stuff. Overall the control panel is great, simple and easy to manage.

Here is a screenshot, this is one half only, there are more tools:

My first impression on IX Web Hosting

Today I have signed up with IX Web Hosting. The signup process was easy. I have chosen the economy plan which is enough for me to review IXWebHosting (which is the purpose of this blog) in the following months. I signed up for the Economy plan and got a whole year for $47.52, very cheap. In 20 minutes my account was setup and I got email with details regarding login, ftp, control panel info and the namerservers I should use for this domain. The control panel is easy to use and simple, it is not cPanel, but you have everything you need to setup mysql databases, domain, ftp accounts, file manager, install web applications like wordpress, drupal, joomla and others. However I installed WordPress manually, because it’s an old habit. Anyway I am pretty pleased so far with IX Web Hosting. Let me outline what will this blog be about:
* IX Web Hosting Reviews
* Their hosting plans, uptime, support, page speed loading time
* User reviews from forums and other blogs as well as mine.
* Submission of user reviews
Now I am going to setup an account on some free monitoring service for this domain www.ixwebhostingreviewme.com and will report the results in a month. In the meantime I will review the features, plans, support and more. So stay tuned and bookmark this blog!
